Online and Blended Courses

Here are a some examples of online and blended courses I recently developed.

Articulate Courses

Developing Content for Social Media

This courseware was developed to support a course on social media management. Some content was provided by the client, I obtained some content from Articulate and I sourced some content from research. I used Canva and Animaker to create graphic content used in this course.

Jamaica's Flora and Fauna

This courseware was developed to support tourism and hospitality courses. Some content was provided by the client while most resulted from my research. I also created the video overview, all GIFs and all diagrams. I used Canva and Animaker to create graphic content used in this course.

Moodle Course

This slideshow captures screenshots of one of the many courses that I have designed and developed for online/blended delivery. Course design involved sourcing and contracting subject matter experts to develop content, training developers and supervising development. Once course content was developed, I designed and populated the course in Moodle, including creating the banners.

This is the course landing page for the GSS Supervisory Management course that I designed. This section provides learners with the instructor's contact information and course duration. I designed the banner using Canva.

Learners are welcomed to the course with an audio welcome message which they may choose to read instead. Learners are encouraged to personalise their profile by uploading an appropriate profile picture. Opportunities for teacher student interaction and student student interaction are provided via the Meet Your Facilitator and Classmates discussion forum.

A tile layout is used to present each module of the course. I created the tile images using Canva.

Each module has a title banner and an overview of the module which helps learners to cognitively prepare for the content to be covered. I designed the banner in Canva.

Content is presented in logical order, beginning with the learning objectives for the module and ending with the module assessments. Interactive courseware, in the form of SCORM packages, are provided along with PowerPoint Presentations and handouts. Assessments are varied and designed to assess achievement of the learning objectives. Each assignment includes detailed instructions and the rubric or mark scheme that will be used to mark the assignment.

PowerPoint Presentations integrate videos and link to external resources.

PowerPoint Presentations and handouts include learning activities.
